Everyone has heard the name of the city, and there’s been many stories probably relayed to you about how grand it appears. Well the stories this time are based in fiction; the city of New York has been not only the financial capital of the United States of America for years but it has been the gate way to America for anyone seeking refuge, it’s been the city that though not everyone has been to; you’ll be hard pressed to find people that don’t know it exists. So how do you make sure to experience this grand city? Well there’s a few sites that you simply can’t pass up!
The first and most famous would be the Statue of Liberty, a gift from France celebrating America’s independence is still to this day the most prevalent site in this city. Standing over 150 feet away it’s really hard to miss anyways! There’s simply no way to claim to appreciate the historic value of New York city without having seen this behemoth of freedom!
History is necessary but let’s be honest. New York is one of the most modern cities in the entire world; denying this fact would have you put on trial in public court for not having common sense. There’s only once place to go to see modern technologically advanced New York city. Times square, yes we’ve all seen it on television, but there’s something to be said about being surrounded and flooded by the great aspect of this small area. It makes you feel as if no matter what you are doing in your life you are taking part of something on a much grander scale. Just to sit back and witness modern society transcribed onto bricks and translated into electronic images gives you a feeling of being absolutely at peace with the world around you.
So go do it; see the city and experience the dream that nearly everyone has had at least once in their life. There’s simply no excuse for not bearing witness to what happens in New York. The meek stay at home and live vicariously through the television, but the true believers stomp the pavement and fly the air to see what the world has to offer!
